What can you find in the Roast Curve Library?

The Roast Curve Library is a place where you can take a peek over the shoulder of your roasting peers. It’s a way of seeing how they approach a coffee and shape the curve. So if you’re stuck in a rut or need another perspective on a specific coffee, this is the place to be.

Within the Roast Curve Library, you find 18 Cropster roast curves developed by 13 coffee roasters. You can select a curve, download it for free, and use it as you see fit. And as a bonus, you get a free green bean poster of the specific coffee you’re exploring.

How to add your downloaded roast curve to Cropster

If you’ve downloaded a Cropster roast curve, log in to your Cropster account and follow these steps:

• Navigate to your menu within your Cropster account.
• Hover over the Roasts dropdown, and choose ‘Roasts’.
• Within the Roasts dashboard, find the green ‘Add’ button and click ‘Roast (Curve Designer)’. Now you can add a non-logged roast.
• Give the non-logged roast a ‘Roast name’, choose a ‘Machine’, select a ‘Green lot’, and give the file a ‘Start weight’ and ‘End weight’. Take note: the end weight can’t be higher than the start weight.
• Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the form, and click ‘Upload curve’.
• Select the downloaded file, and click ‘Open’. Then click ‘Create roast’.

And that’s it. You’ve uploaded the roast curve in Cropster.
