Consistent roasting of samples is critical for making good buying decisions. If a coffee sample disappoints, there is a chance that it was not roasted properly. You could potentially dismiss a perfect coffee.
As an importer, we use a protocol. This is because we receive thousands of samples a year. We use a simple set of steps that enable us to roast uniformly. Everyone on the Quality team follows these rules because we need to asses every coffee the same way.
