Founded in 2017 by Johan Jörgensen — co-founder of the iconic Johan & Nyström roastery (founded in 2004)— Gringo Nordic continues a legacy that helped shape the Scandinavian specialty scene. Based in Göteborg, Sweden, both roasteries were among the first to champion light-roasted coffees in Europe, bringing clean, expressive profiles into the spotlight. Johan was also one of the first to start sourcing Suke Quto lots when we began introducing them to Europe — a close relationship that has only deepened over time.
