In March, we travelled to San Ignacio to visit Cenfrocafe research center and witness firsthand the work being done together with World Coffee Research.
Among experimental plots of coffee varieties, we saw a shared ambition: helping farmers adapt to a changing climate while safeguarding the future of Peruvian coffee. The scale of the project and the commitment from both Cenfro and WCR left a lasting impression.
Now we’re bringing a piece of that research to Brussels.
Together, we’ll cup a selection of seven coffee varieties from the San Ignacio research site, offering a rare
opportunity to taste and compare coffees that may help shape the future of Peruvian coffee production.
Expect a conversation about genetics, resilience, cup quality, and the role research can play in securing the future of coffee.
